Hats off to Mothercare for inviting baby/kid-centric press and bloggers to check out the SS18 collection of clothes, homeware, toys and more. We inevitably created a pram jam and let our kids run (or crawl in our case) riot. Minor carnage that the Mothercare team took in their stride. Bravo.
This was the first press show I made it to avec bebe, so it was a bit less chill than usual…as it was my first time wrestling an 11 month old while trying to quaff prosecco…but many thanks Mothercare to making it *much* easier than I’d ever expected #welcometotheclub indeed.
This pic kinda sums it up for me…
The Mothercare team fought their way through tiny people to introduce us to their up coming Spring/Summer ranges. Lots of goodness that we’re very much looking forward to seeing in the shops in the spring.
Our faves were:
Super chunky educational toys from Early Learning Centre Little Senses collection for Mothercare (tried and tested here by Max and The Mumma Collective‘s little’un). The products had all the flashing, pushable, chewable bits that Max likes the best – and muted tones and clean lines that look pretty good to me too.
Another winning collection was the monochrome clobber and nurseryware from My K the range designed by Mylenne Klass. Really useable, graphic designs on a generally unisex collection of clothes including a cat print that is not just for girls – always a winner with me:
Bonus homeware bits too. I really like the patterns on the cot linen, they could make a really fun, eclectic look by mix and matching with existing bedding in bright colours and clashing patterns.
Bringing the colour for SS is Jools Oliver’s always lovely Little Bird collection. Loads of great clothes and homeware in pleasing colour block and primary colours. Including a stand out pram in the new hot air balloon print that runs through the range, look at those yellow metal bars on it too. So nice.
I’m also all about this rug and bedlinen combination *heart eyed emoji*
Three other bits that caught my eye from the further collections: That’s Not My… series of books (a daily read here) have been made into a cute clothes collection with real sensory sections just like we love in the books – think these’ll do really well. This sweet denim bomber jacket from the core Mothercare range also stood out for me as did these super soft lightning leggings – which I can totally see Max wiggling around in these come spring.
And we’re outta here…
